Program implemented under the Ministry of Rural Development and Land which seeks to promote sustainable communal family farming in rural areas by producing diversified, nutritious and healthy food; improving food and nutritional condition of the Bolivian population.

Promote sustainable community family farming in rural areas, to increase production of diversified, nutritious and healthy foods to improve food and nutritional status of the Bolivian population, which are the key players for security in food sovereignty.

Specific objectives

  • Strengthen the capacities of economic communal organizations (OECAS and OECOMs).
  • Increase productivity and agricultural family production (small livestock and agriculture).
  • Improve economic conditions for families producing food and their communities.
  • Improve access to inputs and means of production for family farming.
  • Revalue and recover ancestral food for human consumption.
Target population

Indigenous native peasant communities, intercultural and Afro-Bolivian, meaning all family farmers in the country.
