Objectives

Carry out interventions in vulnerable communities in order to:

  1. Increase productivity and income of the unemployed and underemployed.
  2. Improve the living conditions of the vulnerable population.
  3. Expand and preserve the stock of essential economic and social infrastructure for national growth.
  4. Strengthen community organizations to initiate and manage change.
Components and/or products

Project Financing

The Fund provides the means to deliver basic public services directly to people in vulnerable communities. The following are financed:

  1. Development of drinking water systems.
  2. Improvements in health and education facilities.
  3. Creating better access through the construction of roads, drains and footpaths.
  4. Construction / rehabilitation of facilities to improve the physical environment of the elderly, sick people or children at risk and those living with HIV / AIDS. It includes preparation of educational and promotional material.
  5. Community empowerment and capacity building.
  6. Repair and construction of community facilities for retail.
