About the program

It is a social protection program of the Haitian Government created in order to help mothers to support their families and invest in the education of her children. To be a beneficiary of the program, the mother must belong to a vulnerable home and should have her child regularly attending school.

Components and/or products

Conditional cash transfer: It is a monthly benefit for mothers and they receive a sum of money that varies with the number of children in school.

  1. If she has one child the mother receives HTG$400 (USD$9).
  2. For two children she receives HTG$600 (USD$13).
  3. For three children she receives HTG$800 (USD$18).

 * Every mother is registered and approved for transfers for 6 months.

Target population

Mothers of vulnerable areas having at least one (a) child (a) registered (a) in a school.
