Sustainability Program for Natural Resources
The program provides support and services to develop integrated systems, works, actions and sustainable practices that help induce a new production structure including crops for the production of inputs for bioenergy, sustainable use of energy, use of alternative energy sources; as well as the conservation and sustainable use of soil, water and vegetation of the production units.
|Classification||Adaptación y mitigación al cambio climático, Investigación y tecnología, Manejo y conservación de recursos naturales|
Contribute to the conservation, sustainable use and management of natural resources used in primary production by providing support and services to develop integrated systems, works, actions and sustainable practices that help induce a new production structure including crops in order to produce inputs for bioenergy, practice sustainable use of energy, use of alternative energy sources; as well as the conservation and sustainable use of soil, water and vegetation within production units.
|Components and/or products||
Bioenergy and Alternative Sources: its specific objective is to contribute to the production of biofuels, bio-fertilizers, organic fertilizers and efficient and sustainable use of energy in production processes, and the use of renewable energies.
Conservation and Sustainable Use of Soil and Water (COUSSA): its specific objective is to contribute to the conservation, sustainable use and management of soil, water and vegetation used in agricultural production by financing in order to provide support and services that allow farmers to develop comprehensive projects that consider the calculation, design and execution of works and practices for proper use of resources, ensuring their preservation and future benefit in favor of new generations of rural producers.
Reduction in fishing effort: its specific objective is to contribute to the conservation and sustainable use of fishery resources through voluntary withdrawal of vessels that make up the largest fleets.
Inspection and Monitoring Fisheries: its specific objective is to promote the use sustainable of resources in fisheries and aquaculture with the collaboration of the producers of fishing and aquaculture, by strengthening the institutions that enable the Secretariat to meet the fulfillment of its powers through the delivery of support in order to contribute in the implementation of preventive and operational inspection and surveillance of fishing and aquaculture activities.
Fisheries and Aquaculture: its specific objective is to generate public policy instruments to support the regulation and administration of fishing and aquaculture activities, inducing sustainable use of fisheries and aquaculture resources through projects for the management of coastal fisheries and strategic resource and aquaculture management.
Sustainable Livestock Production and Management of Livestock and Beekeeping (PROGAN): its specific objective is to increase livestock productivity through technological education of sustainable production practices, ordering, technical assistance, training and a livestock insurance fund.
Reconversion: its specific objective is to improve the income of producers by transforming areas to more profitable crops, taking advantage of the productive potential in the country, in order to order the production of basic grains in the main areas of very low and low production potential, according to the classification of INIFAP 2007 and subsequent partial updates, and as well to recurring accidents according to the classification made by CONAGUA each year; besides supplying domestic demand and reducing imports.
Bioenergy and Alternative Sources: individuals or entities submitting projects for the production of inputs for bio - energy, bio - fertilizers, organic fertilizers and products of the bio - economy, from production regarding agricultural, livestock or fisheries and the efficient and sustainable use of energy in their production processes and the use of renewable or alternative energies in productive activities in the food sector.
Conservation and Sustainable Use of Soil and Water (COUSSA): individuals or entities engaged in activities of agricultural and livestock production, which are located in the municipalities classified by the Secretariat in each state as the highest priority by the degree of deterioration , shortage or over - exploitation of its primary productive resources (land, water or vegetation), organized into producer groups called Committees for projects, as well as institutions of education and research to provide technical support to agencies and other participants in the implementation of this Component.
Decreased Fishing Effort: individuals or companies engaged in offshore fishing with larger vessels and operating under concession or license for valid commercial fishing.
Inspection and Fisheries Surveillance: individuals or corporations engaged in fishing or aquaculture under concessions or permits, universities and research institutions and teaching, or producers that collaborate in the Integral Aquaculture Inspection Program and Fisheries Surveillance and for the Fight against Illegal Fishing.
Fisheries and Aquaculture: fisheries and aquaculture communities where it is necessary to establish and / or strengthen regulation and management schemes.
Sustainable Livestock Production and Management for Livestock and Beekeeping (PROGAN): natural or legal persons (landowners, settlers, community members, small business owners, and civil or commercial companies established under Mexican law, owners or individuals with rights of use of land devoted to farming cattle meat and dual purpose extensive to sheep, goats, small family dairy and beekeeping), inscribed in the existing standard of PROGAN. As well as new producers preferably with 5 to 35 animals units, this is subject to budget availability.
Reconversion: natural or legal persons engaged in agricultural activities, whose lands are located in areas of very low and low production potential and high accident rate; in areas with surplus production or in areas where the market system is promoted.
