Government Plan 2012-2016

General information

It is the response of the Government to the challenges that the country faces; aims to lead Dominican society towards a new development model that ensures the growth of the economy. The priority is to generate quality jobs, reducing overall poverty and extreme poverty, expand and defend the middle class and raise the quality of life for all, consistent with the preservation of natural resources. 

To achieve the above, work is done in the following areas:

  1. A dignified and healthy life for the entire population.
  2. Prosperous economy, competitive and sustainable, creator of decent jobs and social equity.
  3. Environmental sustainability for development and adaptation to climate change.
  4. Participatory public institutions for social welfare.
