The right to food in Venezuela
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in its Political Constitution of 1999 implicitly recognizes, in the context of the broader fundamental rights, the right to food, making the state the guarantor of the right to life and human rights, also stating the defense and development of the person as a main purpose. Similarly, Article 305 corresponding to the section titled "Socio-economic System," establishes that the State is responsible for promoting sustainable agriculture to ensure food security for the population.
