Granada recognizes implicitly, within the framework of broader rights, the right to food in its Constitution of 1978, noting in its first chapter on "Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms" that every person in Granada regardless of their race, place of origin, political opinion, color or creed, has the right to life.
